Preparation Instructions
You'll need the following Ingredients:
3 peeled and sliced onions
30 ml olive oil
3 tablespoons brown sugar
50 ml balsamic vinegar
125 ml cream cheese
2 tablespoons cheese spread
50 ml mayonnaise
pinch of salt and black pepper
Preparation method:
- Heat the oil in a pan and add the sliced onions.
- Sauté until translucent and add the sugar and vinegar.
- Turn down the heat and simmer the onions until caramelised and sticky.
- Once the onions have cooled, place in a blender with the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper and serve as a delicious dip for Lemon Pepper Smackeroos.
Makes ± 250 ml sufficient for 60-70 Smackeroos
