Serving Suggestion
Preparation Instructions
You'll need the following Ingredients:
6 portions Light & Crispy Haddock
30 g margarine
30 g flour
280 ml warm milk
120 g mature cheddar cheese
5 ml mustard powder
2 tablespoons wholegrain mustard
10 g finely chopped fennel
Salt and pepper to season
Preparation method:
- Melt the margarine in a saucepan over a low heat. Remove from the stove and add the flour
- Return to the heat and cook for 2 minutes, stirring continuously
- Gradually start adding the warm milk to the flour and margarine mixture (roux), whisking continuously
- Once all the milk has been added simmer over a low heat for 5 minutes
- Remove from the heat and stir in cheese, mustard, fennel and season well with salt and pepper
- Pour the sauce over the Light & Crispy Haddock cooked according to the preparation guide
