Preparation Instructions
You'll need the following Ingredients:
500g I&J Deep Water Hake Prime Steaks.
½ cucumber, sliced.
2 disks feta cheese, cubed.
½ red onion, finely sliced.
100g tomatoes, halved.
50g black olives, pitted and halved.
Handful Italian parsley, roughly torn.
GARLIC SAUCE: or use 120ml good quality store bought Garlic Sauce.
45g butter.
1 onion finely chopped.
2 clove garlic finely crushed.
Salt and pepper.
30g flour.
160ml milk.
120ml cream.
Preparation method:
- Prepare the I&J Deep Water Hake Prime Steaks as per the back of pack instructions.
- Heat 15g butter in a pot and add the onion. Sauté until soft and golden. Add the garlic and sauté for a further minute. Season well with the salt and pepper. In another pot melt the remaining 30g butter and add the flour. Stir through thoroughly until well combined. Add the mils very gradually and a little at a time, whisking it into the sauce, making sure the sauce has a smooth consistency. Add the garlic and onion and stir through. For a very smooth consistency, blend in a food processor.
- Prepare the salad ingredients and toss together in a large bowel.
- Serve the Prime Steaks with the garlic sauce and a side portion of Greek salad.
