Although Angelfish is the most common market name, this fish is often mistaken with the tropical species of Angelfish that are sometimes kept in aquariums.
The Brama Brama is part of the family Bramidae, and can be found in the Atlantic, Indian, and South Pacific oceans. This species prefers depths of up to 1 000m.
Angelfish have forked tails and their eyes are positioned near the front of their blunt snouts. With a length ranging between 40 and 100 cm, they're silver with golden eyes.
Sold fresh and frozen, Angelfish can be enjoyed steamed, fried and baked.
