Creamy Cape Hake Medallions

Ingredients:

  • 450 g I&J Deep Water Hake Prime Medallions
  • ½ cup boiling water
  • 250 ml fresh cream
  • 30 ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. cornflour
  • 1 tsp. chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp. crushed garlic
  • ½ lemon
  • 1 cup mushrooms
  • 1 tbsp. fresh parsley chopped
  • Salt and pepper

Method:

  • In a large pan, add boiling water, fresh cream, Worcestershire sauce, chicken stock, crushed garlic, onion powder, chilli flakes, and corn flour, stirring constantly.
  • Then add mushrooms, I&J Deep Water Hake Medallions, fresh parsley, seafood rub, salt and pepper to taste.
  • Mix and cover to simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
