Crispy Hake in Soy-Honey Sauce

Ingredients

  • 400 g I&J Hake Pops
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 4 garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp crushed ginger
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup water mixed with 2 tsp cornflour
  • Noodles, to serve
  • Sesame seeds, to serve
  • Spring onion, to serve

Method

  • Place the I&J Hake Pops in the air-fryer and then cook for 8-10 minutes at 200°C until golden and cooked through.
  • Pour the sesame oil into a pan and set over medium heat. Then add the ginger and garlic. Cook until fragrant then pour in the soy sauce, honey and lemon juice. Bring to a simmer and pour in the cornflour mix. Cook for a few minutes until thick and sticky.
  • Add the crispy I&J Hake Pops to the sauce and toss to coat.
  • Serve the sticky I&J Hake Pops with noodles and scatter with sesame seeds and spring onions then serve.
