Hake Prime Steaks with Cheesy Cracker Topping

Serves 4


  • 1 x 500 g pack I&J Deep Water Hake Prime Steaks
  • 5 Bakers Cream Crackers, finely crushed
  • 50 ml grated Cheddar cheese
  • 30 ml melted butter
  • 10 ml chopped fresh parsley


  • Pre-heat the oven to 200º
  • Combine the Bakers Cream Crackers, Cheddar cheese, melted butter and parsley. Season with black pepper.
  • Arrange the I&J Deep Water Hake Prime Steaks in a buttered ovenproof dish. Brush the steaks with melted butter. Spoon the cracker mixture on top. Pat down.
  • Bake for 35 − 40 minutes, or until cooked.

Serving suggestion

Serve with micro salad leaves.
